Shipping production software for US and African companies since 2019.
Taking on new projects
Dawit Hagos
I take products from a blank page to production. That covers AI agents, real-time platforms, fintech, logistics and mobile apps. I own the whole thing: architecture, code, launch and scale, with one person accountable from the first sketch to the thousandth user.
Routing latency on the geo engine I built to replace a paid third-party API.
Growth at beU Delivery after I rebuilt the app: from 5k to 500k installs in 11 months.
Platforms of my own going live soon: Fermat, Deli and Auto360.
01Selected work
Products I've founded, built and shipped.
BizOS
One operating system for a whole organization.
As Ethiopian public bodies and the companies around them move onto ERP, most can't afford the foreign systems. BizOS is built for that long tail. It's multi-tenant and modular: an organization switches on only the modules it needs, and every module writes to one shared journal. It comes with a financial core, a public-sector pack and full Ethiopian localization.
bizos-soon.pages.devBirr Ledger
Your money history, rebuilt from receipts you already have.
People in Ethiopia move money across CBE, Awash, Dashen, telebirr and M-PESA, and nobody gets one view of it. Birr Ledger reads statements, receipts, exports and screenshots, then extracts every transfer. It merges duplicate proofs into a single transaction and traces each line back to its source. When it isn't sure, it asks you instead of guessing.
Axecess
A paid accessibility subscription, replaced by 20 KB of my own code.
It's a drop-in replacement for UserWay with the same 17 tools, eight one-click profiles and page translation into 46 languages, all behind one script tag. It has no runtime dependencies and makes no third-party request on page load, and visitor data never leaves the browser. It runs across MinistrElife's web properties.
Fermat
Routing and dispatch as an API, built on open map data.
Fermat computes real travel-time matrices from open map data and solves vehicle routing with a portfolio of the best open solvers. It runs live dispatch for on-demand fleets. Every customer's GPS traces sharpen the estimates for everyone in that city. It's named for Fermat's principle: light always takes the path of least time.
fermat.runDeli
The operating system for businesses that deliver.
A multi-tenant delivery and logistics platform that covers ordering, dispatch, live courier tracking and the operator console that runs it all. It turns what I learned scaling dispatch at beU Delivery into a product any delivery business can run.
deliplatform.comAuto360
Everything a car owner needs, in one app.
An automotive platform for Ethiopia, starting in Addis Ababa. Owners can buy, sell, rent, service, inspect and customize vehicles, and call for roadside help. Auto360 connects them with garages, dealers and independent mechanics they can trust.
auto360.pages.devMinistrElife
The professional network for ministry, engineered end to end.
Communities, chat, video, jobs and interviews for ministry professionals worldwide, running on systems I engineered: a 37-module API, event-driven cloud functions and live two-way Salesforce sync.
- A command center that runs the whole platform: users, content, moderation, access, feature flags and live analytics, with no code changes.
- AI moderation of text and images, with thresholds the team tunes themselves.
- Payments, search, notifications and video wired in through Stripe, Typesense, Novu and Cloudflare Stream.
HEMA Woods
A furniture showroom without a single photograph.
Every piece is a procedural 3D model rendered in three.js. Visitors try wood finishes live and switch between light and dark themes, with GSAP motion throughout. The client gets a site that looks crafted, because it was.
hemawoods.comAura
Dating, designed for Ethiopia.
Swiping is as smooth as Tinder, with Bumble-style control for women and privacy built for a close-knit society. Pricing is in Birr and payment runs through telebirr and the other ways Ethiopians actually pay.

02What I build for you
If it runs on software, I can build it.
Bring an idea, a half-built product or a system that's buckling under growth. You get one senior engineer who thinks like a founder and owns the outcome.
AI products & agents
Assistants, agents and automations that do real work on your data. That includes RAG over your documents, tool-using agents, moderation, and workflows that remove manual effort.

03Track record
Seven years. Five teams. One habit: shipping.
- 2022 → nowSenior Software EngineerABS · United StatesI engineer MinistrElife, the professional network for ministry leaders worldwide. I built the command center the team runs it from, the AI that keeps its community safe, and most of the backend behind every screen, connected to Salesforce, Stripe, search and video. Axecess, my accessibility engine, runs across the whole platform.
- 2022 → 2023Senior Software EngineerAblaze LabsI set the stack direction, built the microservices and replaced a paid geo API with an in-house engine under 500 ms.
- 2021 → 2022Head of Product DevelopmentbeU DeliveryI joined at 5k installs and rebuilt the app from the ground up. Eleven months later it had 500k. I built dispatch, route calculation, order clustering and live driver tracking to carry that growth.
- 2021Full Stack DeveloperTlet SystemsInternal dashboards and sync layers between microservices, plus a codebase made maintainable through review.
- 2019 → 2021Full Stack DeveloperAT TechnologiesI shipped a full e-commerce platform with payments, cart and catalog, and owned every release.
